Alexander Gordon Smith
is the author of thirteen novels for children and teenagers—including the Escape From Furnace series, which is loved by millions of readers worldwide. His other books include The Inventors, The Fury, The Devil’s Engine series and This Book Will Kill You. He is passionate about the benefits that reading and writing bring to people of all ages, and runs creative writing talks and workshops across the world. He lives in Norwich, England, with his wife and four daughters.
As Alex Smith, he writes the bestselling DCI Kett Thrillers, including Paper Girls, Bad Dog, Three Little Pigs, Whip Crack and Run Rabbit Run. His other thrillers include The Harder They Fall and Six Days, Six Hours, Six Minutes.
His hair is a sentient creature that modern science is struggling to understand.
